Thanks for Learning About the Project

Dear Alumni, Family, and Friends,
Jason Lynch, a well-known author, toy maker, and
small business owner from West Virginia and a
member from the SHS Class of 1991, will be at
Sistersville Alumni Weekend with a special book
release. Lynch will be speaking from his second
children’s title, “Everyone Has Hope. ”
“Everyone Has Hope” is dedicated to his father
Clarence, but the title is inspired by his mother Judy
Smith Lynch Class of 1965. In the book, Jason
makes an appearance as a green teddy bear and his
sister Denise Lynch Barth, Class of 1993, makes a
special appearance as the yellow teddy bear.
Clarence his father is Clarington in the book. This
book helps families deal with loss and
disappointment and raises money for Camp Nabe, a
grief camp held in northern West Virginia.
“We are so excited to help with the SHS Hope
Project to help Alumni to honor current Alumni,
friends, and family. We hope that we can help
gather donation from sales of this book with this
project to honor my mother’s loving regards of her
SHS Classmates and Sistersville High School.
Autographed books can be ordered and purchased
online, at Alumni Chapel, and at the Alumni
Museum at the Gaslight Theater during the week.“

Lynch and his family have also built the World
Largest Teddy Bear named Evan. The 62’tall bear
was stuffed at the Clay Center in Charleston, WV
on November 22, 2008 as part of a special holiday
event. After completion, the 28’ wide patchwork
bear has set out upon a mission to do the most good
throughout the world. The creation of Evan was
inspired by the children’s book “Teddy Bear Helps
on the Farm”. Jason was a co-author of this
Appalachian inspired book. In March of 2012,
Lynch was honored by receiving a Mom’s Choice
Award”.
